Wirral Council stopped running its own park fireworks. Community events now need WESAG approval, and the notification deadline for 5 November 2026 was 13 August.

New Brighton Panto: Aladdin, 36 Shows, £15 Seats
Aladdin runs at the Floral Pavilion from 5 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. All 36 performances, the £15 stalls seats, the two access shows and the dark weekdays.

Wirral Christmas Lights: No Date Before 28 November
No Wirral switch-on date is confirmed for 2026 yet. The council's own policy bars lights being lit before the last weekend of November, and permits land by 30 September.

Wirral 10K: 11 October, 9.30am, 750 Places Only
The Wirral 10K starts on Coastal Drive, New Brighton at 9.30am on Sunday 11 October 2026. Entry is capped at 750 and the south end of town closes to traffic.

Glastonferry: Free Eastham Festival, 29 and 30 August
Glastonferry returns to Eastham Ferry on 29 and 30 August, free, noon to 7pm. It raises for Claire House, which spent £1.7m more than it took last year.
