The Wirral 10K on 11 October, The Mousetrap from the 19th, Gordale's £5 pumpkin trail from the 17th, Ness Gardens' Halloween trail and 49 more dated events.

October on Wirral is busiest at the Floral Pavilion, which has something on most nights. The Wirral 10K closes the south end of New Brighton on the morning of Sunday 11 October, the first day of Merseyrail’s tunnel works. Gordale’s Pumpkin Patch Trail opens on 17 October, Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap plays the Floral Pavilion from 19 to 24 October, and half term, from 26 to 30 October, fills with children’s shows and Halloween events at Ness, Port Sunlight and New Brighton.

Everything below is from the organisers’ own listings, first read on 28 September 2026 and rechecked on 4 October: the Floral Pavilion’s booking pages and ticketing feed, Port Sunlight Village Trust’s event pages, Gordale, Ness Botanic Gardens, Tranmere Rovers’ ticket site, BTR Liverpool, parkrun and Birkenhead Market. Each entry links to its source; check it before you set off. For places open whatever the month, see things to do in Wirral, and for Halloween in one place, our Wirral Halloween page.
