New Brighton Panto: Aladdin, 36 Shows, £15 Seats

The Floral Pavilion’s pantomime this year is Aladdin, running from Saturday 5 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027. There are 36 performances, every one of them still on sale as of 4 September, and every one has a block of stalls seats at £15.

The thing worth knowing before you book: the theatre is dark on weekdays for the first fortnight. If you were planning a school-holiday trip in the week commencing 7 December, there is no show to go to.

Every performance

Checked directly against the theatre’s own booking system on 4 September 2026. All 36 were showing as available, with none flagged sold out or last few.

Three gaps to note. There is no performance on Christmas Day and none on New Year’s Day. There is nothing on Monday 7 to Friday 11 December or Monday 14 to Friday 18 December: the run is weekends only until it goes daily on 19 December. And Christmas Eve is a morning and early-afternoon day, at 10.15am and 2.15pm, which does not match the pattern of any other date in the run.

Prices

The theatre lists ticket prices as (Floral Pavilion):

• Adults £15.00 to £38.50
• Children £15.00 to £35.50
• Family of four from £120.00, on selected price bands
• “Limited stalls tickets available for just £15 on every performance”

The £15 claim is real but much narrower than it reads, and the theatre’s own booking system says so where the website does not. The internal listing record behind the box office spells out: “Peak Show from £36.00, Value Show from £34.50 … 20x £15 tickets available for all performances apart from schools/brownies”.

So there are 20 seats at £15 per performance, not an open £15 tier. Once those 20 have gone, the realistic entry price is £34.50 on a value date and £36.00 on a peak one. Neither of those numbers appears anywhere on the public event page, which advertises only the £15 to £38.50 span. If you are buying for a family, the gap between the advertised floor and the actual floor is over £19 a seat.

The run splits into those two price bands by date:

• Value dates: 5, 6, 12 and 13 December, plus both performances on the final day, Sunday 3 January
• Peak dates: everything from 19 December to 2 January

If price is deciding it, the last day of the run is priced like the opening weekend rather than like Christmas week. Twenty £15 seats across 36 performances is 720 in total, so they are worth chasing early, and the exclusion is schools and Brownies bookings.

Access performances

Two, and the booking system is more specific than the website about what they are:

• BSL signed: Sunday 20 December, 5.00pm
• Relaxed and autism friendly: Sunday 3 January, 1.00pm

The public page calls the first simply a “Signed Performance”; the box office record calls it a “BSL Performance”, and describes the January date as “Relaxed/Autism Friendly”. Both are real performances in the schedule, so the dates check out.

There is no audio-described and no captioned performance in this run. The theatre’s ticketing system carries fields for both and neither is set on any of the 36 performances, so treat the two above as the complete list and ring the box office if you need something else.

Cast

The theatre names two so far (Floral Pavilion):

• James Mackenzie as Abanazar, described by the venue as the BAFTA-winning host of Raven and CBBC’s Molly and Mack
• Sean Jones as Wishee Washee, “back for his seventh year”

The listing adds “with more announcements coming soon”, so the rest of the casting is still to come. Anyone promising you a full 2026 cast list today is guessing.

One thing on the theatre’s own page to ignore

The Aladdin listing carries the line “General onsale Sat 6 Dec at 6:00am”. That is not an upcoming date. The booking system records the on-sale moment for all 36 performances as 6 December 2025 at 6.00am, which was the closing weekend of last year’s pantomime. Tickets have been on general sale for nine months. The line is a leftover, not an instruction to wait.

Running time is listed as TBC.

Getting there

The Floral Pavilion is on Marine Promenade in New Brighton, a few minutes’ walk from New Brighton station on the Merseyrail Wirral line, which is the sensible way in for an evening show. Our train times to Liverpool page covers the service.
