Brunch on the Wirral at Aubergine, Hickory's, Beau's Kitchen and Klais: 8 menus with prices, serving times, dog rules and hygiene ratings, checked October 2026.

For brunch on the Wirral most people land on Aubergine, West Kirby’s longest-standing cafe, Hickory’s in West Kirby for the American-style brunch, Beau’s Kitchen in Higher Bebington for butcher-supplied breakfasts and Benedicts, and Klais, the new bistro in Eastham with brunch until 3pm. Every entry checked against the venue’s own site on 27 October 2026.

We have not eaten at these places for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry sets out what the venue publishes about its breakfast and brunch menu, prices, serving times, booking and rules on dogs and children, then adds the Food Standards Agency (FSA) hygiene rating given by Wirral Council’s inspectors. Where a venue does not publish something, we say so rather than guess. Menus and hours change, so check before you set off.

How we chose

These are the Wirral places people search for when they want brunch, picked from the public record rather than on taste: a published breakfast or brunch menu, how long a place has traded, what it says about itself and the Food Standards Agency hygiene rating. Nothing here is rated below 4. We left out places we could not check against a website of their own or a page published by the people who run the building, which ruled out some well-known names, such as Lateral in West Kirby and Wylde in Heswall, for now. Prices are taken from the menus each venue publishes and may have moved; hours change in winter and at short notice.
