Daise in Oxton is the Wirral's one Michelin Guide restaurant: 12 Wirral restaurants with prices, opening hours, booking rules and hygiene ratings checked.
The Wirral restaurant with the strongest public record is Daise by Tony Parkin in Oxton, the peninsula’s only entry in the Michelin Guide. After it come long-running independents: 107 Dining Room in Heswall (since 2002), Nova on Telegraph Road, Julian’s in Hoylake and The Tapas Kitchen in West Kirby. Every entry was checked against the restaurant’s own website on 24 October 2026.
We have not eaten at these places for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry sets out what the restaurant says about itself and what it publishes about prices, hours and booking, then adds the public record: the Michelin Guide and the Food Standards Agency hygiene rating, given by Wirral Council’s inspectors. Prices come from the menus each restaurant had online on 24 October and change often.
Oxton
Daise by Tony Parkin, Rose Mount
Daise opened on 4 February 2026, The Caterer reported, in the Rose Mount building that was Marc Wilkinson’s Fraiche for almost two decades. It is listed in the Michelin Guide, whose inspector describes a small, intimate room where the chef runs the kitchen largely himself. Tony Parkin was head chef at the Tudor Room at Great Fosters, which won a Michelin star while he was there; his wife, Laura, runs front of house, in partnership with Open Restaurant Group. It is tasting menus only: the signature and pescatarian menus are £110, with a £75 wine flight, and a shorter midweek and lunch menu is £75. Vegetarians must order 72 hours ahead. The FAQ page says children must be 10 or over, it cannot cater for vegan, dairy-free or serious nut allergy diets, and there is a slight step at the entrance. Dinner Wednesday to Saturday at 7pm, lunch Saturday at 12.30pm, everyone seated at the same time. Cancelling within seven days costs the full £110 a head. Book online, or call 0331 630 9620. The FSA register still lists the building under its previous name, Restaurant OXA, rated 5 (FSA, 27 November 2025), before Daise opened. 11 Rose Mount, CH43 5SG.

How we chose
These are the restaurants people search for, chosen on the public record rather than on taste: the Michelin Guide, how long a place has traded, what the restaurant publishes about itself, and the Food Standards Agency hygiene rating. Nothing here has a hygiene rating below 4. We left out places we could not check against a working website of their own on the day, and places that have closed: Gary Usher’s Burnt Truffle in Heswall, long a fixture of Wirral lists, shut in January 2025. Hours and prices change, so check with the restaurant before you set off.
