The company behind Deborah Alfa, the hair and beauty salon at Brimstage Hall and Courtyard, has gone into creditors’ voluntary liquidation. Members and creditors of Deborah Alfa Limited resolved on 7 August 2026 to wind the company up and appointed Brendan P. Hogan of Cromwell & Co Insolvency Practitioners as liquidator, with notice of both decisions published in The Gazette on 11 August. What the notices record

The notices give the company’s nature of business as “Hair & Beauty Services” and record Unit 2, Brimstage Hall and Courtyard, Brimstage Road, Wirral, CH63 6JA as both its registered office and its trading address. The winding-up resolution was passed at a general meeting on 7 August, the same day a virtual meeting of creditors was held; that meeting had been convened by a notice published on 25 July. A creditors’ voluntary liquidation is started by a company’s own shareholders and creditors rather than imposed by a court. It is used when the directors have concluded the company cannot pay its debts, and the liquidator’s job is to realise whatever assets there are and distribute the proceeds to creditors. The notices record the winding up of the company; they do not say when the salon last traded.

Companies House shows Deborah Alfa Limited was incorporated on 30 March 2019, registered for hairdressing and other beauty treatment. As of 12 August the register still listed the company as active with an active proposal to strike off, and its confirmation statement, due by 12 April 2026, showing as overdue; the Gazette notices are the official record of the liquidation. An award-winning courtyard salon

The salon was a fixture of the Leverhulme estate’s shopping courtyard at Brimstage. The estate’s own news pages record Deborah Alfa Hair & Beauty winning Gold for Hair Salon of the Year and Silver for Health & Beauty Company of the Year at the Wirral Life Awards in 2018, and describe founder Deborah as a stylist and scalp specialist with more than 16 years’ experience.
